Film_Crop
The easiest video cropper, speed adjust, output formatter, and combiner. This was specifically designed for formatting film to video conversions. Most 8mm and 16mm cameras actually expose more of a frame than is visible when using a projector. By overscanning the frames when converting to video and then cropping them to remove extraneous dust around the film gate and the visible sprocket holes, you can get 15 to 20 percent more image than you ever saw using your projector. In addition you can adjust your film speed, frame rate, pad the video to a 16:9 ratio, select your output resolution to 480p, 720p, or 1080p,combine multiple clips into a single video, and convert the video to an h264 format as an MP4, MKV or other file.

Film_Crop includes a Denoise function that will minimize grainy images cased by poor lighting. especially on 8mm films. This function requires installation of AviSynthPlus and several 64 bit plugins. AviSynthPlus and the plugins can be downloaded HERE. Or it can be downloaded in Film_Crop if you select the Denoise option but AviSynthPlus is not installed.
